Easter

Does anyone besides me remember the commercial that says "Thanks Easter Bunny! Bawk bawk!"? I just love that commercial...even though I can't remember what product it's for. Oops!

Kyle's parents (J & M aka Munners and G-Daddy) came to see us again this year. Unfortunately, it was a stormy, wet and rainy weekend...so much so that J & M had to stop and overnight in McAlester Friday night due to tornado warnings. Reese was super excited about their arrival and asked many, many times if they were here yet Friday afternoon and night. They arrived Saturday morning while Kyle was still working on a project nearby. Reese reacted like she usually does when she first sees J & M...like a crazy baby. Lots of excitement. I love that she LOVES them so much!

J, M and I cracked up at her facial expressions as she played catch with Munners. She had some very serious and determined expressions (why didn't i have the camera in hand so i could have captured them??). They were so funny.

Reese cuddled with G-Daddy on the couch while watching Lady and the Tramp for almost half an hour. It's really rare for her to sit still at home that long, unless she's tired or not feeling well. I love this pic...

Remember the weather I mentioned? Well, it rained almost all day Saturday and ended up hailing that night. It was only about marble or grape size, thankfully. Sunday morning, afternoon and evening...more rain. Because it was raining and we were running late, I didn't get a pic of Reese in her dress before church. Kyle and I were scheduled to volunteer, so J & M took Reese home after the 9:00 service. I'm so sad that I didn't get a single pic of Reese in her dress this year, but I think G-Daddy did when they got home, before she changed clothes. I'll post one as soon as I get them.

Munners shared with us that Reese was telling her about something, but Munners wasn't understanding what Reese was saying. Reese told her "watch my mouth" and repeated what she had said. Munners got pretty tickled about that. I explained that I say that to Reese when teaching her how to pronounce a word properly.

So, I went a little overboard on the Easter basket this year. Another case of buying things in advance and forgetting what all I had already bought. Oh well, she'll use it all eventually, right? Ü

Although it wasn't planned, it just happened that the new ride-on car we ordered arrived Saturday (Easter Eve). So, Reese had an extra big Easter! Needless to say, she LOVES her little Jeep!
Here's the Easter dress pic...although her smile is a little scary looking! Ha ha!

We read the story of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection in one of her bible story books. It's called A Sad Day and A Happy Day. I'm not sure how much of it she understands, but she knows God loves her and that's the most important thing right now...right?

All in all, despite the rain, it was a good Easter weekend topped off by the sweetest goodbye from Reese. As J & M were pulling out of the driveway to head back to Texas, Reese said "I'll forget you for never". Ugh! SUCH SWEETNESS!!!
